The Physics of Living Systems group gathers many labs across the EPFL campus interested in solving biological questions using physical approaches, as well as computational and mathematical approaches. Our group is composed of biologists, physicists and engineers, all working at the interface. The goal if our group is to stimulate reflection, exchange of ideas and collaborations across labs.
Despite a physics-oriented tradition, the PoLS group is very open to all computational, data-driven or mathematical modeling approaches of biological phenomena.
Doctoral students from the Computational Biology Graduate School (EDCB) give short presentations and can also validate 1 ECTS credit when they regularly attend PoLS mini-symposia.
